  2. At Christmas I made 14 gnomes and absolutely ruined my hands. For reasons I don't understand my hands get super dry and then chapped when I'm building the gnomes and on top of that I end up with a lot of burns.

  5. You can also use chenille stems (pipe cleaners) to make the arms bendable. That is what I use for my crochet dolls.
