DIY dollar tree farmhouse signs and summer decor

Dollar Tree items can become great pieces for your home. I made 2 signs as well as 2 solar lanterns. These signs look like they came from an expensive store. You can make them for less than $3
In my intro I promised the recipe
Homemade Mod Podge Recipe:
To make a jar of fake / homemade Mod Podge you need 1 cup of glue and 1/3 cup of water. These proportions are perfect – don’t mess with them.
There are other recipes out there that just don’t work as well.

Here is what I used-
Solar lamps:
2 Jars(Dollar tree or what you have)
2 solar yard lights ( Dollar Tree)
Duct tape or waterproof tape
2-3 bags of glass pebbles
2 jar rings
Hot glue
Sand paper/block

Gathered Sign
Stickers or what you would like for the center (cricut vinyl)
Dollar tree sign or smooth board
4- 5 gal. paint sticks
Wood glue
Hot glue
Paint ( I used waverly plaster chalk paint)
Stain ( I used Folk art wax stain (Walmart or Dollar Tree)

Thankful sign
Sign from Dollar Tree with open back
Metal words
Waverly chalk paint- Plaster and Ink
E-6000 or superglue (Hot glue didn’t work)

Music is from Bensound
